Paul of Pakistan replies

Dear Arindam,

Actually,Noreen wanted to correspond with you but she went to have summer holidays with her relatives to another city,Gujaranwala. Yours, both activities that you mentioned in youth activities i.e 30 hours famine and Hope for the future, are extremely good as it makes a man realise about the difficulties of other people.

Anyway, the non-executive meeting our junior departmant(age range 15-18),holds twice a month, apart from discussing social tasks, we play different games everytime e.g a game named in urdu language as bait-bazi competition. The theme of this compitition is as follows: the groups are divided into two equal groups and the first team sings spiritual song and the next team has to start the new song with the last alphabet and so on. In this game at every win a single point is given and whichever team gains 25 points wins the match. We really enjoy it.

God bless you,
Paul

Arindam of Deer Park, NY responds

Dear Paul,

Sorry for the late reply. The summer holidays were very busy and now I am back at school. I guess Noreen is back from her holidays as well. The game you mentioned sounds like fun. We may also try it someday in our youth group.

We are having a youth group picnic to start back our meetings since we do not meet during the summer. We are going to have it at my cousin’s home.

I just celebrated my thirteenth birthday and instead of getting a big present from my parents, my family is donating money to help a needy child. He lives in India and has a very hard childhood. However, despite this hardship, he is doing well at school and has great faith in God. It makes me feel good that I am helping him in some small way to achieve an education.

I hope all is well with you and your group. I hear that there is much violence in Pakistan. I pray that things get better soon and that you and your family remain safe.

God Bless,

Arindam, East Northport, NY
