Sounds of Hope
Sounds of Hope
Sounds of Hope Children and Youth Centre, based in central Uganda, is a Christian community organization working with Youths for social, economic, health and spiritual developments. Sounds of Hope has two programs depending upon the age of the child. In essence there is a children’s program for ages of 4-13 and a youth program for teens 14 and above. The programs are for children who are educated as well as those who have received little instruction.
Sounds of hope offers a variety of activities including: sports training, music, dance and drama, and Bible reading competitions. These are some of the proven effective activities that keep our children and youth together while serving the Lord diligently.
For example, sports training is done every evening after classes and during holidays for the school going children and youth. Music, dance and drama are also done after classes as the time table may make it available. These programs are also offered during the holidays.
Before sports training sessions Bible reading training and competitions are held as warm up activities as well as for the youth and children during Sunday school programs. Bible study and reading is also done before music, dance and drama lessons and at the end of MDD training. Also we should realize that during Christian education lessons, as the Ministry of Education and Sports of Uganda's curriculum provides, Bible reading is done.
Our youths of the Sounds of Hope Centre have agreed to join the Youth Speak Out section of the website and to give their testimonies as they have witnessed events unfolding in their lives as they serve God. They also like the idea of being a Bible Pen Pal, which we all deem to be an innovative idea. Therefore we welcome the idea of BIBLE PENPAL and are ready to hear from you what to do next to see that it works out well. I am ready to get your guidelines on how we can handle this program as SOUNDS OF HOPE CHILDREN AND YOUTH CENTRE and CHRISTIAN YOUTH GROUP.
If possible we would like to try the International Bible Treasure Hunt.
