Youth ministry programs

Tim,

First of all let me apologise for the late reply but perhaps as I mentioned you in my last email that with the growing professional and organizational responsiblilities I get comparitively less time.I have recently been promoted to the post of assistant professor in one of the well known college in Islamabad. Secondly,so many young people are joining us these days which is a good sign for our physical growth of organization.

On 1st of October we celebrated the first birthday of my only daughter Shakianah Angel. It was very nice get-together of my family, friends and other people of my circle.

Its really fine to visit yours new website www.christianteenacivites.org. - now the scattered things seem more compiled and understandable, rather than the rush of matters.

Nice to acknowledge the increasing interest of further youth groups to participate in International Bible treasure hunt,I hope to get the details soon about this competition.

Last week,a heavy suicide-bomb blast took place in Islamabad in which more than 75 persons are told died, and you know what we were only 3-4 kms away from that place at that time we were gathered with one famly for prayer in Islamabad and all at once the windows and doors started shivering. But as usual I know one thing that MY LORD IS SO GREAT.

As far as you asked me about my plans of foreign tours.Let me tell you that even though I plan to attend international youth seminars/conferences/crusades or any other programme and also for the introduction of our organization on international level. But no body entertains us on account of being Pakistani. But still we are doing as much as we can within our sources but still I have already told you so many deserving and deprived young people are waitng for our assistance.

As far as you mentioned about the no reply from world vision,no matter as whenever they will consider it suitable they will definitely respond.Anyway,if you dont mind can you please give us their email (If you think it right) should we contact them personally by giving them yours reference.

Thanks for keeping us in yours prayers on continuous basis. My mother, now a days, is in severe agony of joints pain and high fever; kindly do remember her in yours prayers as well.

May the mighty hand of Lord bless you, yours family and yours team as well and May you cope up with the increasing responsibilities in a nice manner.

Waiting for yours reply as usual.

Robin

Robin - It was good hearing from you and that your ministry is expanding. We are now moving forward with our new youth leaders in place and they do seem to be stepping up to the task of being a leader. We have added four new members to almost replace the five we lost to college.

My presentation went so well at the youth leaders' forum a few weeks ago that I am being asked to return to offer further ideas for the local emerging youth groups. Aside from directly working with the youth themselves, I must say that this is one of the most enjoyable tasks that I have to do. I feel it is such an important task for us, the adult leaders of the church, to bring to our youth the certainty of the promises of our faith. In such a changing world - both politically and economically, the one thing we can rely on is the presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst as we meet with our young people and in the hearts of each of us as we take the time to pray.

I am about ninety per cent complete with the International Bible Treasure Hunt and will be sending out information packets in mid November. The number of teams seems to be stabilizing at about fifteen, a nice representation of different countries and of states from our country. I am really looking forward to the event.

We have another nominee to the Christian Teen Hall of Honor - actually three youth from Uganda and they well deserve the honor. You can find their description on the new website at:

http://www. christianteensactivities.org

Some of our young people, upon hearing of their induction, seemed motivated to do that "special" contribution to the work of our Lord in order to receive such an honor. I advised them that they could become eligible but they needed to go over and beyond the expected activities of a youth group member. Hopefully this honor, being selectively given, will motivate other young people to reach out to others in a special way.

I look forward to your continued correspondence as well as any thoughts your young people might want to share. I remind you that Arindam did respond to Paul's last correspondence and it can be found on both of the websites. On the new website click on the "Christian Youth" button then on "Youth Speaks Out", then on "Paul".

Looking forward to hearing of your continued progress, may God continue to bless all your efforts. Tim
