"The Best Thanksgiving Gift Ever"
Not the Same Old, Done-It-Before Youth Meeting
A BOOK REVIEW
I really never thought that the book could be a great help to leaders like me in making our routine youth activity and evangelism even more fun and exciting. You know that I had been doing efforts to reach out especially those who are unbelievers. But thinking of ways on how to get their complete attention would always be so hard. And it is just very unadvisable to repeat activities that we already did. It may just bore them.
And so when I took time to read the book you sent me, my mind overflowed with new ideas, innovative that is, to keep the attention of the group I am leading. Activities in the book are so much fun and and of several variations that are good enough for different time and place we will opt to do our activities. And the nice thing here is, I would not have to worry that I may mislead my group to just having fun alone... because all of the activities you have in the book are all guided with biblical teachings and involvement. In this sense, I can be able to inculcate to them, the gospel in a fun way... in a way they will not resist. A so amazing way to introduce to them Jesus the Savior and to deepen their faith as Christians.
The book Not the Same Old, Done-It-Before Youth Meeting is really a blessing. This is the best Thanksgiving gift I ever received. I really am so grateful to God for using Mr. Tim Ferguson to give me a copy. Now, I do not to worry about doing evangelistic youth activity anytime we need to because I just can browse the book over and get a fine and appropriate activities to do. Big thanks Tim! Glory to the Lord!

Since being appointed to lead our church's youth group in January 2009,I have been thinking of ways we can make the church exciting for the youth considering that many now are bored when inside the church.
At first, we took the usual church activities like anniversaries, Mothers' day, and the like and worked on them. Then God showed me that the youth group I lead is so much interested in activities that are interactive in nature. So we devised a program in which we can go reach out other youth through an evangelistic activity that would not bore our target invited guests.
We invited unchurched youth to a program of games and learnings we called GIMIK 101: Good Friendship Starts Here, was done on September 12th of this year. It was so successful that we were able to bring more than 40 souls to Christ. As per their assessment, they enjoyed it so much and they are looking forward for another. That was the time I felt the responsibility to go bigger because we should not simply provide fun but also introducing Jesus to them and the promised salvation as we help them deepen in their faith.
That was the time christianyouthgroup.org came to the rescue. I was able to see many applicable activities that are fun yet with it are good foundation in introducing the bible to our young people and the real Christian ways. From here, developed the second part of our Youth Jam, which we call GIMIK 102: Level-up, Will you Survive the Extra-challenge? Hopefully this will take place on the 14th of November.
That’s not all. We are making the fun bigger and at the same time making Jesus bigger to them. We plan to finalize this Youth Jam with Gimik 103: The Truth, where we will present awards for the 102 Event as we bring our new friends in Christ to church to solemnize their acceptance to Christ as their Lord and savior.
Big thanks to God for sending in Tim Ferguson as channel of blessing. Now, we have a lot in mind as we continue evangelizing and spreading Jesus to the youth. We even have in-house activities in learning the WORD and making it fun at the same time through activities easily accessible in Tim's website.
Do pray for us and our activities and I will help the best I can. Hope we all continue to serve God, and let's help each other in forwarding God's Kingdom on Earth. God bless!

GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!!!
I am so happy to find this website, Not the Same Old, Done-it-before Christian Youth Group Meetings. I have been looking for ideas on how to strengthen the faith of the youth in my church and I know that finding this website is not accident I know this is God's will.
I started to read the forums and some suggested activities and I am really blessed on how Christian youths from different cities and countries gathered here to share their experience and words of encouragement. This is truly what God wanted us to be. To be united in glorifying His holy name.
I am now 24 actually just turned 24 yesterday. I am the youth leader of our church here in a small town in the province of Quezon in the Philippines. We just moved here from Manila 6 months ago. I was baptized as born again Christian when I was 13 years old at Church of The Foursquare Gospel. When I came here I couldn't find a Foursquare church. Until one day some people went to our home because they have heard we were Christians and that was the time we started to go The Life and Resurrection Christian Fellowship. They have only few members and a very small church, a small space of a building that they rent. I am so blessed on my first time because, despite the place and the small number of members, I have felt the presence of God and I have seen their desire to worship God. There are only few Christians in my town and this is my desire and what I pray most of the day that I hope this people will open their hearts and accept Jesus and live his words. I know God will make a way to make it happen.
Now I am leading the young people of the church and we started youth fellowship every Sunday afternoon. And I am thankful that I am able to apply the suggestions here on our fellowship.God Bless Everyone!!!
